The Story of Dimensions

Sometime during the Lost Ages, four great Gods inhabited the land. The first was Theoden, Lord of Dragons. Some say he is the only God which truly came from the land, and thus is it's rightful ruler. Others say we cannot know his true origin, for he is older than the Targoth Mountains. It is known that Theoden battled for eons with Galen, the Demonspawn. Seeing the power Theoden had over the land, Galen became jealous and rose from the fiery depths with his twisted minions to do battle with Theoden. The war raged for thousands of years. Although Galen's winged demons were great in number, they were torn from the sky by the Theoden's WyrmLord legions. Yet, the victory was incomplete, for Galen remained in power below. Theoden's army was forced at all times to seek refuge on high, perched on battlements or outcroppings of stone. The ground was a death trap, opening up without warning to swallow an unlucky warrior whole. What fate lay before such a warrior no one knows, but some say Galen possessed the forces of Theoden and sent them back against the Dragonlord.

This proved to be too much for even the great rulers of the sky. In the end, Theoden took his remaining forces, powerful behemoths large enough to blot out the sun, and left the land. Storytellers say he rules on another world, never to return.

Galen rejoiced in his pits, and for a hundred years demons frolicked across the world, visiting untold horrors upon it's remaining inhabitants. However, Galen was soon to know that he was not yet master of the land. Far from it.

Strange happenings began to plague Galen's forces. Lakes appeared suddenly where none previously existed, drowning troops in their encampments. Dense forests and swamps with seemingly no exit surrounded Galen's followers. Strangely, this land did not answer the demon call and Galen's minions were unable to travel the planes of hell to escape. Galen soon realized this was no natural occurence, but the directed efforts of a magical being.

Unable to combat this being on land, Galen withdrew his forces to the fiery depths and waited. Soon the god revealed himself fully. Genero, the Changeling was master of the land. His armies had the ability to blend completely with the land, becoming one with it.
