The following provides guidelines for placing students at the appropriate grade level.
Placement Criteria Guidelines
Specific guidelines for TK, K, and 1st placement:
o Children that turn 4 by September 1st of the coming school year will be placed in the Transitional Kindergarten program. Parents do not have an option to petition for a Kindergarten placement.
o Children that turn 5 by September 1st of the coming school year will be placed in Kindergarten. Parents do not have an option to petition for a Transitional Kindergarten placement.
o Children that turn 6 by September 1st of the coming school year that have not been previously enrolled in school will be placed in 1st grade. Parents do no have an option to petition for a Kindergarten placement.
